Pamela G. Whitaker, CEO

Pam is a 15+ year veteran professional in the IT/software engineering field. Her expertise includes software development, automated testing, change management, project management, systems engineering, cyber security and process improvement.

Her greatest strength is in the area of “change” leadership and building consensus within complex stakeholder communities as demonstrated by her leadership role within the IRS “Center of Excellence,” located in Washington, D.C. Pam’s professional certifications include PMP, ITIL, CSM, AWS Cloud Solution, Google Enterprise Search Appliance Advanced and Rational Requirements. Pam holds a bachelor’s of science in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University.

Pam holds several professional organization board positions. She is Education Coordinator for the Central Arkansas ISACA chapter, VP of Membership for the PMI Central Arkansas chapter, Education and Scholarship Chair for the AFCEA (Armed Forces Association), Secretary for the National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Sector Chief for InfraGard (an FBI private/public organization), a member of the IEEE Engineering association and a member of Arkansas Users of Telecommunications & Information Systems (AUTIS).

Pam recently served as a panel member on the CANSEC 2015 workshop held at UALR. The CANSEC workshop brings together researchers and practitioners in networking and security engineering related fields in our region (University of Arkansas, Kansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Texas and more).

Dr. Xuan Shi, GeoSpatial Subject Matter Expert

Dr. Xuan Shi is a noted GIS Subject Matter Expert. Xuan has served as both a teacher and researcher.
His current role is Professor, Dept. of Geosciences University of Arkansas, Fayetteville; His roles as Research Scientist included, Center for GIS, Georgia Tech; GIS Programmer Analyst, GIS Technical Center, WV

Tom Straight, Program Director

Tom has been involved with Project Management for the past 20 years, working both in the government and private sectors. An active member of PMI, he holds both the PMP and PMI-RMP certifications and is a recent graduate of the PMI 2015 Master Class. Tom also has the pleasure and honor to serve as the 2015 President of the Central Arkansas PMI chapter.

A 1981 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, he has served 15 years as a USAF Senior Navigator in the KC-135 Stratotanker. A veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Tom planned and executed air refueling missions transferring and deploying key combat assets into and out of Southwest Asia.

After 8 additional years in the USAF Reserves, at USTRANSOM Headquarters, Tom retired and made the exciting change from Lt Colonel Straight to Mr. Straight. He has truly been there, done that, using his military experience to create great opportunities in defense contracting and the private IT career fields.

Ms. Purvi Parmar, Data Governance
Ms. Parmar holds a Masters of Science Information Quality degree from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock UALR)
She exceeded in the Graduate Program for Technology Innovation UALR. Her Data Skills include: SQL, Information Quality, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance and the Certifications she holds include MSIQ Data Quality, PQA Testing


Lalita Flagg, Social Media

Lalita Flagg is our very special Social Guru and experienced social media consultant. She has worked with a number of startup companies to manage and expand their social media presence. She is a mother of 3 daughters and is currently homeschooling 2 of them and supporting their ballet careers. She has a passion for helping others obtain their goals. She has volunteered for FIRST Robotics competition along with Startup Weekends, 1 Million Cups, and Bar Camp.
